Sacheon KAI Aviation History
The KAI Aerospace Museum, operated by Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) and located in Sacheon, is South Korea’s first aerospace museum. It was founded to foster a correct national and historical perspective on aviation and aerospace while showcasing cutting-edge industry technology and heritage.
The site spans roughly 46,281 m² (~14,000 pyeong) and includes extensive indoor and outdoor exhibits.

Military Vehicles, Weapons, and Aircraft
- Indoor halls:
- Freedom Hall: Documents Korea’s military aviation history, including the Korean War era.
- Aerospace Hall: Covers both the history and future of aviation and space exploration.
- Aviation Industry / History Halls: Explore aircraft manufacturing, principles of flight and aerospace engineering.
- Outdoor Exhibition Area: A standout feature — a display of real aircraft (fighter jets, transport aircraft), helicopters, military vehicles and other aerospace hardware.
- Highlights: Some of the notable aircraft include the Boeing B‑29 Superfortress, F-4E Phantom and the Douglas C‑124C Globemaster II (which is rare outside the US), and many others from both US and Korean military service.
